Engineered for Fanuc CNC Program and Data Storage
This module stores part programs, offsets, and system parameters for CNC machines. It provides non-volatile memory for the GE A20B-2900-0450/03B unit. You will find this memory card in Fanuc Series 0, 15, and 18 control systems. Unlike RAM-only modules, this version includes battery backup for data retention. It holds up to 512 KB of user programs and CNC configuration data.

Functional Architecture and Data Organization
This memory module plugs directly into the CNC main board socket. It stores part programs, tool offsets, and pitch error compensation data. You can read and write data during normal machine operation. Moreover, the module includes a replaceable lithium battery for backup. This component retains all data when the CNC powers down. Consequently, the machine retains its configuration and programs indefinitely.
Installation and Operational Guidelines
The GE A20B-2900-0450/03B consumes 300 mA at 5V DC during access. It draws only 5 µA from the battery in standby mode. You must replace the battery every 5 years as preventive maintenance. Always power down the CNC before removing or installing this module. This practice prevents data corruption during insertion. Furthermore, the module supports memory expansion for large part programs. This feature allows DNC drip-feeding for complex 3D machining.
Physical Characteristics and Environmental Limits
This memory module has a rigid PCB with metal stiffener plate. Its moderate 0.82 kg weight reflects the industrial construction quality. The layout follows GE Fanuc standard memory module specifications. Therefore, it fits securely into the designated memory slot. The module includes a battery holder for easy replacement. In addition, it maintains stable operation between 0°C and 55°C ambient temperature. You can store this unit safely between -20°C and 70°C.
