Functional Architecture and Channel Isolation

The GE IC200MDL243D consumes 60 mA at 5V DC from the backplane. It scans all 16 inputs every 1 millisecond. You must connect each input’s return to its dedicated common terminal. Always use shielded cables for input runs longer than 30 meters. This practice reduces false triggering from induced voltages. Furthermore, the module supports both sink and source field wiring. This feature matches any sensor output configuration without adapters.
