Board Layout and Components
The PCB carries eight static RAM chips arranged in a single row. A lithium battery sits on the right side of the board. Moreover, 68 discrete components include address decoders and bus drivers. The memory chips retain data for six months without CNC power. Consequently, part programs remain safe during extended machine shutdowns.
Installation Process
You can mount GE A16B-1200-0220 into any GE CNC memory expansion slot. The 64-pin DIN connector mates directly with the CNC motherboard. Furthermore, a low battery LED warns operators when replacement becomes necessary. Locking clips secure the board firmly within the memory slot.
