Amplifier Overview
This servo amplifier drives AC servo motors on GE CNC machine tools. You can install GE A06B-6066-H005 directly into GE CNC control cabinets. The unit provides three-axis control for X, Y, and Z motion. It regulates motor current, velocity, and position loops.

Amplifier Layout and Components
The PCB integrates three independent power stages for three axes. Large electrolytic capacitors store 3300 µF of DC bus energy. Moreover, 456 discrete components include IGBT modules and gate drive circuits. An internal fan circulates air across the heatsink for cooling. Consequently, the amplifier delivers full three-axis power continuously.
Installation Process
You can mount GE A06B-6066-H005 inside GE CNC control cabinets. The AC input terminals connect to a 3-phase 200V supply. Furthermore, the motor output terminals connect to X, Y, and Z axis motors. Encoder feedback plugs into the front panel D-sub connectors.
Performance Advantages
This amplifier updates velocity loops every 125 microseconds. The 15A peak current provides high torque for acceleration. Therefore, CNC machines achieve fast axis moves and precise contouring. The three-axis design also saves cabinet space compared to separate amplifiers.
Safety and Compliance
GE A06B-6066-H005 meets CE and UL standards. The DC bus capacitors require 10 minutes to discharge below 50V. Hence, technicians must wait ten minutes after power-down before servicing internal components.
