Panel Construction and Components
The panel combines a resistive touch sensor with an LCD display module. A 400 MHz ARM processor handles all graphics and communication tasks. Moreover, the front panel carries an IP65 rating for washdown environments. The LED backlight provides 50,000 hours of continuous operation. Consequently, the unit operates reliably in demanding industrial conditions.
Installation Process
You can mount GE QPI-31200-S2P into a standard 312×245 mm panel cutout. Four mounting clips secure the unit from the rear of the cutout. Furthermore, rear-panel ports connect to power and communication cables. Configuration software creates operator screens and downloads them via Ethernet.
Performance Advantages
This panel displays 65,536 colors on a 12.1-inch SVGA screen. The resistive touch technology works with gloved hands. Therefore, operators interact with the system without removing safety gloves. The three communication ports also connect to PLCs, drives, and printers simultaneously.
Safety and Compliance
GE QPI-31200-S2P meets CE, UL, and RoHS standards. The unit stores negligible electrical energy after power removal. Hence, technicians face no capacitor discharge hazards during installation or replacement.
