This transfer module moves data quickly between multiple INFI 90 controller racks. You can install ABB Bailey INIIT03 directly into VME bus slots of INFI 90 systems. The unit exchanges process data without burdening individual controller CPUs. It synchronizes multiple controllers for coordinated plant operations.

Board Layout and Components

The PCB places dual fiber optic transceivers on the front panel edge. A dedicated communication processor manages all network token passing duties. Moreover, 356 discrete components include shared memory buffers and VME interface logic. Tantalum capacitors stabilize power for the high-speed data transfer circuits. Consequently, the module moves data without errors across long cable runs.

Installation Process

You can mount ABB Bailey INIIT03 into any standard INFI 90 VME rack slot. The backplane connector provides VMEbus access to controller memory. Furthermore, front panel ST ports connect fiber optic cables between controller racks. Configuration software sets node addresses and data mapping tables easily.
