Internal Design and Output Protection

This output module uses twelve individual power transistors for switching loads. An optocoupler array provides complete isolation between CPU and field devices. The GE IC693MDL740C includes electronic current limiting for short circuit protection. The module stores no energy for output retention after power-off. Consequently, all outputs reset to OFF automatically when the system loses power. Green LEDs on the front panel show the real-time status of all 12 channels.

Installation and Wiring Guide

First, mount this module into any Series 90-30 rack slot. Next, connect your 24 V DC supply to the V+ and COM terminals. Then, wire your load devices to the 12 output pins (O1 through O12). Each output channel handles up to 0.5 A of continuous current. Use a 3 A fast-blow fuse for external short circuit protection at the module level. The module requires no external pull-up resistors for operation. This unit works with all GE Series 90-30 CPU models including 311, 331, 341, 363, and 364. Always verify the output wiring polarity before applying power.
