This module features two fully independent serial communication ports. Each port supports different baud rates and protocols simultaneously. The 4 KB buffer handles data queues without interrupting the PLC scan.

A 220 µF capacitor retains the buffer during brief power interruptions. Consequently, you avoid losing partially transmitted messages during brownouts. Port 2 offers selectable RS-232 or RS-485 for long-distance connections.
