Hardware Architecture and Switching Logic
The IC660BSM021 uses a dedicated microprocessor for bus monitoring. Optical couplers provide 1500V isolation between primary and secondary buses. Two fault alarm relays trigger external warnings upon switching events. The module also includes 220 µF of capacitance for brief power hold-up.
Interface and Connectivity
Two 9-pin female D-sub connectors attach to primary and secondary bus cables. Two 3-position terminal blocks accept 24V DC power from an external source. Four front LEDs indicate power status and active bus selection. The module also features a rotary switch for setting the device address.
