Energy Storage and AC Switching Stability

The GE IC660BBD100 stores energy using four electrolytic capacitors. Three large capacitors filter the 24 VDC supply for the microcontroller. The fourth capacitor provides hold-up energy for the Genius transceiver during bus arbitration. Consequently, this block maintains stable AC switching even with noisy line conditions.

Grouped Circuit Configuration and Flexibility

You can configure any combination of inputs and outputs across the eight circuits. Each circuit uses an optocoupler for input sensing or a triac for AC output switching. A shared neutral terminal connects all eight circuits to the same return path. Thus, this block reduces wiring complexity for grouped AC loads.

Installation and Status Monitoring

You will find eight red LEDs positioned near each circuit terminal. A green LED at the top indicates network communication and power status. The block includes a locking lever for secure DIN rail attachment. Thus, it fits seamlessly into any standard Genius distributed I/O network.
