This touch panel measures 210 mm in width and 158 mm in height. Its thickness reaches 3.2 mm including the adhesive layer. The unit weighs 240 grams for stable mounting against the display. An optically clear adhesive bonds the glass to the LCD bezel securely.

Touch Technology and Operating Principle

The screen uses 4-wire resistive touch detection for reliable operation. You can activate it with a finger, gloved hand, or stylus. Two transparent conductive layers make contact when you press the screen. Consequently, the controller calculates the exact X and Y position instantly. This technology works flawlessly in dirty or wet industrial environments.

Connection Interface and Signal Output

A 4-pin FFC ribbon cable carries the analog signals to the HMI board. The cable has a 0.5 mm pitch and extends 150 mm from the glass edge. Two wires supply voltage across the X-plane while two read the Y-plane. The controller alternates these roles rapidly for coordinate measurement. A ground shield reduces electromagnetic interference from nearby drives.

Replacement Compatibility and Installation

This screen fits GE GP370 series HMI units with 24V DC power. You must remove the front bezel and old glass before installation. Clean the LCD surface thoroughly to prevent dust spots under the new glass. Align the ribbon cable carefully to avoid pinching during reassembly. Test the touch response before fully tightening all bezel screws.
