The GE DS200ADGIH1A DS200ADGIH1AAA expands input/output capacity for Mark V systems. This board provides additional signal connections beyond the main controller limits. Therefore, it accommodates larger turbine control applications with many field devices.
Product Overview
We designed this auxiliary board to handle mixed signal types on a single module. Its hybrid layout accepts analog, digital, and special-purpose inputs together. Moreover, this unit requires no external power supply for its circuitry.

Signal Mixing Capability
The GE DS200ADGIH1A DS200ADGIH1AAA allows any mix of input types across its channels. Channel pairs 1-2 can operate as analog or digital independently. Channels 3-4 function as dedicated analog inputs only. Channels 5-8 provide general-purpose digital I/O with direction control. The two special channels count pulses up to 10 kHz each. Consequently, one board replaces multiple dedicated I/O modules.
Energy Storage Array
Ten ceramic capacitors decouple each major IC on the board. Two tantalum capacitors store energy for the ADC reference circuit. Stable reference voltage ensures accurate analog measurements across temperature changes. These capacitors use low-ESR construction for fast transient response. Therefore, the board maintains accuracy even with rapidly changing signals.
Installation Guidelines
Insert this board into any Mark V slot with a 64-pin backplane. Align the GE DS200ADGIH1A DS200ADGIH1AAA with the card guides. Push steadily until the ejector tabs lock into position. Then connect field wiring to the front 24-position terminal block. Use 0.5 Nm torque for all field wiring screws.
Channel Configuration
Set each channel’s function using the configuration software. Write to the board’s control register to select analog or digital mode. For analog inputs, choose between 0-10V or 4-20mA scaling. For digital outputs, set the channel as sink or source type. The board stores these settings in non-volatile memory. Therefore, you do not need to reconfigure after power cycles.
Pulse Counting Features
The two special channels measure frequency from proximity probes. They accept input signals from 5V to 24V without external conditioning. Each counter stores the accumulated pulse count in a 16-bit register. The board resets the count to zero after you read the value. You can also configure the counters for period measurement mode.
Application Examples
This auxiliary board monitors auxiliary equipment in turbine systems. It reads lube oil temperature and pressure from analog sensors. The board also controls small solenoid valves for drain lines. Many cogeneration plants use the GE DS200ADGIH1A DS200ADGIH1AAA for balance-of-plant signals. Its compact design saves rack space compared to separate modules.
