Integrated Architecture

The Schneider A020/ERW/220V integrates all controller functions into a single unit. Its two aluminum capacitors filter the 220V AC input for internal DC power. Additionally, four ceramic capacitors decouple noise from the processor circuits. You get reliable operation without external power supply modules.

Energy Storage Configuration

Two bulk capacitors provide 10 ms of hold-up during AC line dips. This prevents processor resets from brief voltage sags. Four ceramic capacitors filter high-frequency noise on the internal 5V rail. Input Specifications

Installation Steps

Then connect input devices to terminals 1 through 8 as shown on the label. Connect output loads to terminals 9 through 12 with appropriate external fusing.

Programming Method

Program this controller using Schneider’s simple ladder software via a PC connection. The instruction set includes contacts, coils, timers, and counters. Timer ranges extend from 0.1 seconds to 999 minutes. Counters can count up to 9999 events from input pulses. The 4 kB EEPROM stores up to 200 ladder rungs of typical logic.
