Dedicated Fire and Gas Input Termination

The FC-TSFIRE-1624 provides a dedicated field termination assembly for fire and gas detection systems within the Honeywell Safety Manager platform. This module interfaces with up to 16 field devices including smoke detectors, heat sensors, and gas detectors . It accepts 24 VDC nominal signals across a range of 18–32 VDC . Consequently, the assembly ensures reliable signal conditioning for critical fire protection loops.

Channel Configuration and Isolation

Each of the 16 channels on the FC-TSFIRE-1624 features independent isolation to prevent cross-channel interference . The module incorporates 2500 V AC channel-to-system isolation for enhanced noise immunity. A dedicated 250 Ω precision resistor converts incoming current signals to voltage for the host input module. Moreover, each channel includes a 315 mA slow-blow fuse for short-circuit protection . The module also provides LED indicators for each channel to simplify field troubleshooting .

Field Wiring and Physical Construction

The FC-TSFIRE-1624 uses screw-type terminals that accept wire gauges from 12 to 24 AWG . The module mounts on a standard 35 mm DIN rail for easy cabinet integration. The board features a robust epoxy-coated construction that resists humidity and airborne contaminants . The assembly includes integrated strain relief for field cables to prevent connection damage.
