Internal Design and Relay Construction

This output module uses twelve independent electromechanical relays on one board. Each relay provides a single-pole, single-throw normally-open contact. The GE IC693MDL930D includes a suppression diode array for inductive load protection. The module stores no energy for output retention after power-off. Consequently, all relays return to their normally-open state when the system loses power. Green LEDs on the front panel indicate the real-time status of each output channel.

Installation and Wiring Guide

First, mount this module into any Series 90-30 rack slot. Next, connect your load wires to the 24-pin terminal block using a flathead screwdriver. Then, wire the common terminals (C1, C2, C3) to your load return path. Each group of four outputs shares a common terminal. Use external fuses for short circuit protection on high-current loads. The module requires no external power supply for the relay coils. This unit works with all GE Series 90-30 CPU models including 311, 331, 341, and 363. Always install a suppression diode across inductive DC loads for longer relay life.
