Engineered for GE Series 90-30 I/O Expansion
This baseplate provides mechanical and electrical support for I/O modules. It expands the PLC system for the GE IC693CHS392G unit. You will find this baseplate in larger Series 90-30 configurations. Unlike the main rack, this expansion unit requires a separate power supply. It holds up to ten I/O or specialty modules for system growth.
Technical Specifications & Physical Dimensions
We designed this baseplate for flexible system expansion. The table below presents all verified technical specifications.
| Parameter | Specification |

Functional Architecture and Bus Distribution
This baseplate connects to the main CPU rack via an expansion cable. It uses a passive backplane for module-to-module communication. You can install any Series 90-30 module into these slots. Moreover, the baseplate includes a termination resistor for the expansion bus. This component prevents signal reflections on the backplane. Consequently, the system maintains reliable communication with all expansion modules.
Installation and Operational Guidelines
The GE IC693CHS392G requires a separate power supply module in slot 0. It draws no power directly from the main CPU rack. You must install termination jumpers when using the last baseplate. Always secure the expansion cable with locking clips on both ends. This practice prevents accidental disconnection during vibration. Furthermore, the baseplate includes a built-in DIN rail mounting system. This feature simplifies installation in industrial control cabinets.
Physical Characteristics and Environmental Limits
This baseplate has a rugged, powder-coated steel chassis. Its substantial 2.1 kg weight reflects the heavy-duty construction quality. The layout follows GE standard Series 90-30 specifications. Therefore, it mounts directly to a DIN rail or backplate. The baseplate requires 150mm clearance above for module removal. In addition, it maintains stable operation between 0°C and 60°C ambient temperature. You can store this unit safely between -40°C and 85°C.
