  • Product Details

The GE DS200GSIAG1C DS200GSIAG1CDC bus regenerative board returns energy from the DC bus to the AC line. This board converts excess regenerative energy into usable AC power. You will find this regenerative board in GE Mark V drive systems. Its efficient design reduces energy waste and lowers operating costs.

Regenerative Architecture

This regenerative board uses twelve IGBTs in a three-phase bridge configuration. Consequently, it synchronizes with the AC line for power regeneration. The GE DS200GSIAG1C DS200GSIAG1CDC monitors the DC bus voltage continuously. Moreover, built-in protection circuits prevent overvoltage conditions. You can enable regeneration through software configuration.

Energy Regeneration and Synchronization

The unit includes a phase-locked loop for AC line synchronization. Therefore, it matches the line frequency and phase precisely. This board replaces the DS200GSIAG1CDC version without any wiring changes. Simply remove the old board and install this one. GE designed this regenerative board for forced-air cooling. Hence, you must maintain proper airflow across the heatsink.

Eight PCB layers separate gate traces from high-power copper buses. Five connectors handle all DC bus, AC line, and feedback signals. The GE DS200GSIAG1C DS200GSIAG1CDC holds 15000 µF of DC bus capacitance. Accordingly, it smooths voltage ripple during regeneration. Four status LEDs indicate bus power, regeneration activity, fault, and temperature.

Protection and Installation Guide

Each IGBT includes desaturation detection for short circuit protection. The board shuts down within 10 microseconds of detecting a fault. The GE DS200GSIAG1C DS200GSIAG1CDC requires a clean 24V DC supply for gate drive circuits. Always use insulated tools when working near this board. The DC bus capacitors retain charge for several minutes after power removal.

Proper AC line filtering prevents harmonics from affecting other equipment. The board includes built-in line reactors for harmonic reduction. The GE DS200GSIAG1C DS200GSIAG1CDC works with all GE Mark V drive systems. Proper torque on bus bar connections prevents overheating. This board requires a minimum of 75mm clearance for airflow.
