Internal Design and Output Protection

This output module uses eight power transistors for switching loads. An optocoupler array provides complete isolation between logic and field circuits. The GE IC610MDL104A includes no internal short circuit protection. Consequently, you must add external fuses for each output channel. The module stores no energy for output retention after power-off. All outputs reset to OFF automatically when the system loses power. LEDs on the front panel show the real-time status of all 8 channels.

Installation and Wiring Guide

First, mount this module into any Series One rack slot. Next, connect your 24 V DC field supply to the V+ and COM terminals. Then, wire your load devices to the 8 output pins (O1 through O8). Each output channel handles up to 0.5 A of continuous current. Use a 0.5 A fast-blow fuse for each output channel externally. The module requires no external pull-up resistors for operation. This unit works with all GE Series One CPU models including IC610CPU101, IC610CPU104, and IC610CPU106. Always verify the output wiring polarity before applying power to the module.
