High-Current Safety Output Termination

The FC-TSDO-0824 provides eight fail-safe digital output channels for the Honeywell Safety Manager platform. This module delivers 24 VDC nominal outputs with a continuous current rating of 2.0 A per channel. It supports direct control of solenoids, motor starters, and alarm indicators in critical safety loops. Consequently, the module ensures reliable actuator control in emergency shutdown and fire and gas systems.

Redundant Switching and Diagnostic Coverage

Each output channel on the FC-TSDO-0824 employs redundant switching elements for safe disconnection upon fault detection. The module performs comprehensive diagnostics including output voltage monitoring and current measurement per channel. It also detects open-load conditions and short circuits to ground or supply voltage. Moreover, the module incorporates active current limiting to protect against overload conditions. The module supports line monitoring through a field termination assembly (FTA) to enhance diagnostic coverage.

Load Protection and Signal Interface

The FC-TSDO-0824 includes integrated clamping diodes to suppress inductive voltage spikes from relay and solenoid loads. This protection extends the lifespan of both the module and the connected field devices. The module provides per-channel LED indicators to show output state and fault conditions. A 48-pin backplane connector provides all signal and power interfaces to the host chassis.
