Centralized Field Power Management

The FC-PDB-0824 distributes field power to multiple I/O modules within a Honeywell Safety Manager chassis. This module provides eight individually fused and monitored 24 VDC outputs for field devices . Consequently, it eliminates the need for separate power distribution terminals in control cabinets . The board simplifies wiring and reduces installation labor costs significantly.

Fused Output Channels and Protection

Each output channel on the FC-PDB-0824 incorporates a 2 A fast-acting fuse for robust short-circuit protection. These fuses feature visual indicators that show the fuse status at a glance. Moreover, the module includes a common 24 VDC input with reverse polarity protection and transient suppression . The board also provides an auxiliary 5 VDC output for powering small field indicators . The module mounts directly on a 35 mm DIN rail for quick installation.

Voltage Monitoring and Diagnostics

The FC-PDB-0824 continuously monitors its input and output voltages for undervoltage conditions. This diagnostic function alerts the host controller when voltage levels fall below acceptable thresholds . The module also generates a common alarm output for power distribution faults .
