The module achieves 0.1°C resolution using a 16-bit analog-to-digital converter. Three-wire configuration rejects 90 dB of lead resistance error. This feature ensures accurate readings even with long cable runs up to 200 meters. A 220 µF capacitor stores energy for brief power interruptions. It holds the last valid temperature value for 10 milliseconds.

Channel Configuration and Flexibility

You can mix different RTD types across the six channels independently. Each channel also accepts either 3-wire or 4-wire sensor connections. The module automatically detects open sensor conditions. A red LED flags any broken wire or disconnected RTD. Moreover, the unit includes built-in cold junction compensation for reference accuracy.

Installation and Calibration

This module draws only 200 mA from the VersaMax backplane supply. Its lightweight 0.23 kg design simplifies mounting in any rack slot. The removable terminal block accepts 16–22 AWG copper wire. Use shielded cable for all RTD connections to minimize electrical noise. Software calibration eliminates manual potentiometer adjustments entirely.
