Key Technical Specifications
This GE DS200GSIAG1C DS200GSIAG1CGD board accepts 600V DC bus voltage input. It regenerates 50A current back to the AC supply during braking. The unit measures 30 cm in length, 22 cm in width, and 7 cm in height. Its total weight reaches 1.8 kg without any packaging materials.
The GE DS200GSIAG1C DS200GSIAG1CGD includes six IGBT power modules in a three-phase bridge. Additionally, it features one fiber optic input port for gate firing signals. A single 8-pin terminal block connects DC bus and AC line. The board contains 6 IGBTs, 6 gate drivers, 3 current sensors, 1 DSP, and 12 capacitors.

GE DS200GSIAG1C DS200GSIAG1CGD stores energy using three series electrolytic capacitors. Together, they provide 470 µF at 900V rating for DC link smoothing. This energy storage absorbs regenerative energy during 15 millisecond overload transients. Therefore, the board protects the DC bus from overvoltage spikes.
Design and Integration
Both the GE DS200GSIAG1C and DS200GSIAG1CGD versions share identical IGBT topology. These boards use heavy-duty aluminum baseplates with thermal paste for heat dissipation. Consequently, the GE DS200GSIAG1C DS200GSIAG1CGD operates reliably from 0°C to +50°C with forced air cooling.
For installation, you need M5 screws for the six mounting holes. The board draws 200 mA typical control power from an external 24V DC supply. Each IGBT dissipates approximately 25 watts at full regenerative power. We recommend using a 60A fast-acting fuse and a dedicated heatsink with fan.
Practical Application
This regenerative board returns motor braking energy to the AC power line instead of burning it. It activates when the DC bus voltage exceeds a set threshold. The GE DS200GSIAG1C DS200GSIAG1CGD then synchronizes with the AC line to feed power back. Therefore, it improves system efficiency in high-inertia drive applications.
