The GE DS200DACAG1A DS200DACAG1ACC converts analog input signals into digital values for processing. This board accepts voltage and current signals from field transducers. Therefore, it bridges the gap between plant sensors and the digital controller.
Product Overview
We designed this converter board for high-precision measurement across industrial temperature ranges. Its 14-bit resolution captures small signal changes accurately. Moreover, this unit replaces older DACAG revisions with identical functionality.

Signal Conversion Process
The GE DS200DACAG1A DS200DACAG1ACC multiplexes all inputs into a single ADC. Its low-pass filter removes high-frequency noise before conversion. Additionally, a programmable gain amplifier matches each input to the ADC range. You achieve maximum resolution for both millivolt and 10V signals this way.
Energy Storage Configuration
Twelve decoupling capacitors filter power supply noise for each analog section. Four tantalum capacitors provide charge storage for the ADC reference circuit. Stable reference voltage directly affects measurement accuracy and repeatability. Therefore, these capacitors use high-grade dielectric materials for low drift.
Channel Configuration
Set each channel’s input type using the onboard jumper array. Jumper in position A selects voltage mode for that channel. Position B selects current mode with a built-in 250 ohm resistor. Position C disables the channel completely. Furthermore, channel one through eight share a common return path. Channels nine through sixteen provide isolated returns for floating signals.
Installation Requirements
Insert this board into any standard VME slot in the Mark V rack. Align the GE DS200DACAG1A DS200DACAG1ACC carefully with its backplane connector. Push firmly until both ejector levers lock into place. Then connect field wiring to the removable terminal blocks before powering up.
Wiring Best Practices
Use twisted shielded pairs for all analog signal connections. Connect the shield drain wire only at the converter board end. Keep field wiring separate from AC power cables by at least 30 cm. The GE DS200DACAG1A DS200DACAG1ACC provides 250V isolation between channels and backplane.
Calibration Schedule
Perform a full calibration check every 12 months for critical measurements. Use a precision calibrator to apply known values to each channel. Adjust the software offset and gain in the Mark V configuration tool. Document all calibration results for your quality management system.
