Module Overview
This repeater module restores degraded signals on long fieldbus networks. You can install FUJI NP2L-RP1 between two segments of a Profibus or DeviceNet line. The unit regenerates and amplifies incoming data signals. It extends network cable length beyond single-segment limitations.

Board Layout and Components
The PCB separates segment A and segment B circuits for complete isolation. Two independent transceivers handle signal reception and transmission separately. Moreover, 98 discrete components include optocouplers and retiming logic. The 2500V isolation prevents ground loops between network segments. Consequently, long fieldbus runs operate without data corruption.
Installation Process
You can mount FUJI NP2L-RP1 into any standard SPH series rack slot. The backplane supplies 24V DC power to the repeater circuits. Furthermore, configuration jumpers select Profibus or DeviceNet protocol modes. LED indicators show power, segment A activity, and segment B activity clearly.
Performance Advantages
This module regenerates signals with less than 10 bit times of delay. It supports both Profibus and DeviceNet protocols with simple jumper settings. Therefore, one repeater model works for multiple fieldbus types. The galvanic isolation also eliminates ground potential differences between distant cabinets.
