Module Overview
This PLC module provides serial communication expansion for FUJI controllers. You can install FUJI CTHMICOM-00 directly into compatible FUJI PLC racks. The unit adds RS-232 and RS-485 ports to existing systems. It enables data exchange with HMIs, drives, and other network devices.

Board Layout and Components
The PCB places two communication controllers side by side for independent operation. A 9-pin D-sub connector mounts directly on the front panel. Additionally, 112 discrete components include line drivers and transient suppression circuits. The design uses ceramic capacitors exclusively for energy storage. Consequently, the module contains no electrolytic capacitors that could age poorly.
Installation Process
You can mount FUJI CTHMICOM-00 into any standard FUJI PLC rack slot. The backplane connector supplies power and data to the communication processor. Furthermore, screw terminals provide easy access for RS-485 field wiring. DIP switches allow configuration of node address and baud rate simply.
Performance Advantages
This module supports both Modbus RTU and FUJI proprietary protocols. The isolated RS-485 port rejects ground loop noise effectively. Therefore, long network cables do not corrupt communication data. The dual-port design also connects an HMI and a drive simultaneously.
