Module Overview
This DO module adds sixteen transistor output points to SPH controller racks. You can install FUJI FTU221B into any free slot of a FUJI SPH system. The unit provides high-density switching for solenoids, relays, and indicator lights. It expands system capacity without requiring additional power supplies.

Board Layout and Components
The PCB arranges sixteen output channels into two banks of eight. Each output includes a dedicated power transistor and flyback diode. Moreover, 168 discrete components provide isolation and current limiting for every channel. Electrolytic capacitors filter the main power rail entering the board. Consequently, outputs maintain stable switching during simultaneous operations.
Installation Process
You can mount FUJI FTU221B into any standard SPH series rack slot. The backplane connector supplies power and receives output data from the CPU. Furthermore, two removable terminal blocks accept field wiring for all sixteen points. LED indicators on the front panel show each output’s on/off condition clearly.
Performance Advantages
This module switches up to 0.5 A per output with a 1 ms response time. The self-resetting short-circuit protection prevents damage from field wiring errors. Therefore, accidental shorts do not destroy output transistors. The 16-point density also saves valuable rack space for other functions.
