Module Overview
This transfer module switches between redundant communication buses automatically. You can install ABB Bailey NTRB01 directly into INFI 90 controller racks. The unit monitors both primary and backup bus activity continuously. It transfers network traffic when detecting a primary bus failure.

Board Layout and Components
The PCB places four fiber optic transceivers on the front panel edge. A dedicated logic circuit monitors both bus pairs continuously. Moreover, 224 discrete components include switching relays and fault detection circuits. Tantalum capacitors filter noise on all communication transceivers. Consequently, the module transfers buses cleanly without data corruption.
Installation Process
You can mount ABB Bailey NTRB01 into any standard INFI 90 VME rack slot. The backplane connector supplies power and signals bus status to the controller. Furthermore, front panel ST ports connect to primary and backup fiber cables. Two push-buttons allow manual bus selection during maintenance.
