This analog input card measures up to 16 field sensor signals per card. You can install ABB Bailey NIAC04 directly into INFI 90 I/O racks. The unit accepts standard industrial analog signal ranges from transmitters. It converts analog values to digital data for controller processing.

Board Layout and Components
The PCB arranges 16 input channels in two banks of eight. A 15-bit analog-to-digital converter serves all channels via a multiplexer. Moreover, 278 discrete components include precision resistors and input protection circuits. Tantalum capacitors provide stable voltage references for accurate conversions. Consequently, the card maintains reading accuracy within 0.1% over temperature.
Installation Process
You can mount ABB Bailey NIAC04 into any standard INFI 90 I/O rack slot. The backplane connector supplies power and transfers digital data to the controller. Furthermore, a front panel screw terminal block accepts field wiring for all 16 channels. DIP switches allow configuration of input ranges per bank of eight channels.
Performance Advantages
This card scans all 16 channels every 50 milliseconds typically. The 15-bit resolution provides 32,768 distinct measurement steps per channel. Therefore, the card captures small signal variations accurately. The 1500V isolation also protects the controller from field wiring surges.
