Functional Architecture and Slave Operation
This module connects to the INFI 90 bus and receives output data. It uses sixteen power transistors for individual channel switching. You can wire each output to solenoids, relays, or indicator lamps. Moreover, the module includes a bus receiver for command decoding. This component interprets digital output values from the master controller. Consequently, the board updates outputs within one millisecond of receiving new data.
Installation and Operational Guidelines
The ABB Bailey NDSO01 provides 1500V isolation between backplane and field. It consumes 150 mA at 24V DC during normal operation. You must assign a unique slave address using the DIP switches. Always use external fuses for circuits above 0.5 Amps. This practice protects the output transistors from overload damage. Furthermore, the module includes watchdog timer protection for fail-safe operation. This feature turns off all outputs if communication stops.
