Module Overview

This battery module provides backup power for INFI 90 system memory retention. You can install ABB Bailey NBTM01 directly into designated battery slots of INFI 90 racks. The unit maintains critical process data during main power interruptions. It automatically recharges when system power returns.

Module Construction and Components

The module houses a sealed lead-acid battery on the rear section. A small PCB contains charging and monitoring circuits on the front. Moreover, 28 discrete parts include a charge controller and voltage comparators. The battery self-discharges slowly at approximately 3% per month. Consequently, the module requires no maintenance under normal operating conditions.

Installation Process

You can mount ABB Bailey NBTM01 into any INFI 90 rack battery slot. The backplane connector supplies charging power and monitors battery status. Furthermore, front panel LEDs indicate charging state and battery health clearly. The sealed design also allows mounting in any orientation.

Performance Advantages

This module retains INFI 90 memory for 30 minutes during power loss. The automatic recharge circuit returns the battery to full capacity within 24 hours. Therefore, process data survives short power interruptions without operator action. The sealed lead-acid chemistry also eliminates memory effect concerns.
