This disk drive module provides mass storage capability for ABB Bailey INFI 90 automation systems. It stores configuration files, application programs, and historical data. Therefore, it enables program backup and data logging for turbine control applications.

Five LED indicators provide operational status at a glance on this module. First, a green Power LED lights when the 5 VDC backplane supply is present. Second, a green Drive Active LED flashes during disk read or write operations. Third, a green Disk Present LED illuminates when a disk is inserted in the drive. Fourth, a yellow Write Protected LED lights when the inserted disk cannot accept writes. Finally, a red Fault LED indicates disk errors, controller failures, or motor problems. Additionally, the module includes a locking ejector for secure backplane insertion. Thus, you can diagnose disk drive status instantly without external tools.
