Internal Design and I/O Processing

This B module uses eight optocouplers for input signal isolation. Eight power transistors drive output loads for field devices. The ABB 07 ZW 80 scans inputs and updates outputs every 10 milliseconds. The module stores no I/O states after power loss. Consequently, the CPU reads fresh input values during each scan cycle. Green LEDs on the front panel show the real-time status of all 16 channels.

Installation and Wiring Guide

First, mount this module into any Procontic rack slot securely. Next, connect your 24 V DC field supply to the designated power terminals. Then, wire your sensor outputs to the 8 input channels (I1-I8). Wire your load devices to the 8 output channels (O1-O8). Each output handles up to 0.5 A of continuous current. Use a 0.5 A fast-blow fuse for each output channel externally. The module provides LED indicators for power and I/O status. This B module works with ABB Procontic CPU modules and expansion racks. Always verify the output wiring polarity before applying power to the module.
