The FS-SICC-2001/L15 serves as a high-reliability interconnection cable for Honeywell Safety Manager systems. This cable links the field termination assembly (FTA) to the corresponding I/O module with precision. It features a 37-pin D-sub connector on the FTA side and a 48-pin connector on the module side. Consequently, this assembly ensures secure signal transmission for safety-critical process applications.

Cable Construction and Signal Integrity

The FS-SICC-2001/L15 uses 20 shielded twisted pairs to minimize electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Each conductor features tinned copper strands with PVC insulation for durability and flexibility. A common foil shield covers the entire bundle and includes a drain wire for grounding. The cable maintains a characteristic impedance of 100 Ω and a capacitance of 45 pF/m. Moreover, the connector housings feature metal backshells with strain relief for robust cable management.

Length and Application Flexibility

The FS-SICC-2001/L15 provides a generous 15-meter length for flexible cabinet-to-cabinet wiring scenarios.
