Triconex 3625A Digital Output Module

Overview

The Triconex 3625A is a 32-point TMR Supervised or Non-Supervised Digital Output Module, designed for critical control applications. These modules work with 16-point commoned field termination panels and are suitable for energize-to-trip and de-energize-to-trip applications. You can only install the 3625A module in Tricon v10.2 and later systems.

The 3625A module separates the field power supply into groups of 16 points, maintaining a common return. This modification doesn’t affect its compatibility with all applications that use the 3625 module.

Power Requirements

Invensys recommends wiring the termination panels in parallel and powering them from a single, redundant field power source. Although you can power the module from four independent field power sources, all sources must maintain a voltage within 5% of the highest voltage supplied. Failing to follow this guideline may cause the module to operate with voter faults and trigger alarms.

Notes:

Field Power Configuration: For the 3625A module, group the field power into sets of 16 points with separate termination panels. Make sure to power all points, including unused ones on non-commoned panels.
Output Toggle Rate: The maximum output toggle rate is 60 ms. This rate ensures proper I/O diagnostics and helps detect faults effectively.
