Energy Storage and Hold-Up Performance

The Schneider TSXPSY8500 stores significant energy using five large electrolytic capacitors. Two input capacitors store energy from the AC line for 20 ms hold-up time. Two output capacitors filter the 5 VDC supply for stable backplane power. One capacitor filters the 24 VDC output for I/O modules. Consequently, the system continues running through brief AC power interruptions.
