The CALU 288 stores configuration data on the CR2032 battery. Therefore, you must replace this battery every 3 to 5 years. Use the RS-232 port to download logged data to a PC. Meanwhile, the LCD shows remaining capacity as a percentage.
Installation and Compatibility
You can mount this calculator on any 35 mm DIN rail. Snap the CALU 288 onto the rail until it clicks securely. Then connect the external shunt wires to terminals 3 and 4. Always install the CR2032 battery with the correct polarity.
This device works with all Ronica battery strings from 12V to 48V. It automatically detects string voltage on power-up. The CALU 288 replaces manual calculation methods with continuous monitoring.
Environmental and Safety Data
The CALU 288 operates from 0°C to +50°C. It does not require any forced cooling or ventilation. The circuit board has no conformal coating. Consequently, you should install this device in a dry control cabinet. Replace the CR2032 battery only with the same type from a reliable brand.
