The ASBCTR212 stores no significant energy on its PCB. Therefore, you can handle this module immediately after power removal. Use the removable terminal block for all field device wiring. Meanwhile, the optocouplers provide electrical isolation between field and logic.

Installation and Compatibility

You can mount this module on any standard 35 mm DIN rail. Snap the ASBCTR212 onto the rail until the foot locks in place. Then connect the 24V supply to terminals 1 and 2. Always verify output wiring before you enable the channels.

This module communicates via the Advantys backplane bus. It automatically reports its I/O configuration to the master controller. The ASBCTR212 replaces older ASBCTR200 series modules without configuration changes.

Environmental and Safety Data

The ASBCTR212 operates from -10°C to +55°C. It withstands 3g vibration per IEC 60068-2-6 testing. The circuit board has a full conformal coating. Consequently, you can use this module in humid environments. Do not exceed 0.5A per output channel under any condition.
