Physical Layout and Rack Mounting

This output module measures 127 mm in width and 89 mm in height. Its depth reaches 56 mm for standard Series 90-30 racks. The unit weighs 290 grams for easy one-handed installation. Two locking levers secure the module firmly into its chassis slot.

Internal Circuitry and Energy Storage

One hundred two components populate this double-sided output board. An 1800 µF capacitor bank provides snubbing for inductive load switching. This bank absorbs flyback energy from relays and small solenoids. Consequently, the module protects output transistors from damaging voltage transients. Each output includes a dedicated optocoupler for complete bus-to-field isolation.

Output Configuration and Wiring Details

Twelve source-type (PNP) outputs switch the positive side of your loads. You connect the module output to your load, then wire the load return to DC common. Each channel handles up to 0.5 amps continuously without external heat sinking. The total module current cannot exceed 3 amps across all active points. A removable terminal block accepts wires from 0.2 mm² to 1.5 mm² cross-section.

Protection Features and Diagnostics

Short-circuit protection shuts down an individual output within 100 microseconds. The module automatically resets that channel after removing the fault condition. Over-temperature protection reduces current limit when internal temperature exceeds 85°C. Twelve green LEDs show the on-off state of each output point clearly. Therefore, you can troubleshoot field wiring without connecting a programming terminal.
