Hardware Architecture and Signal Conditioning

The IC693ALG223-FA uses a 12-bit successive approximation ADC for signal conversion. Forty-eight precision resistors set gain and scaling for each input channel. Sixteen filtering capacitors remove high-frequency noise from industrial environments. A multiplexer sequentially samples each selected channel before conversion.

Interface and Connectivity

One 20-position removable terminal block accepts field wiring from sensors. Each input channel includes dedicated positive and negative terminals. A 24-pin backplane connector transfers digital values to the CPU. The front panel features no LEDs for analog indicators.

Install this module in any I/O slot of a Series 90-30 rack. The IC693ALG223-FA requires configuration of DIP switches for range selection. Always use shielded twisted-pair cable for 4-20 mA loops. Verify the input signal does not exceed the selected range for accurate readings.
