Cable Overview
This fiber optic cable connects Bailey INFI 90 system components over long distances. You can install ABB Bailey IIPRT11 between controller modules and remote I/O stations. The cable transmits data using light signals instead of electrical current. It provides complete electrical isolation between connected devices.

Cable Construction and Materials
The cable contains a glass fiber core surrounded by cladding material. A Kevlar strength member provides pull resistance during installation. Moreover, the PVC jacket protects against abrasion and chemicals. ST connectors lock securely with a bayonet-style coupling mechanism. Consequently, vibration does not disconnect the optical link accidentally.
Installation Process
You can route ABB Bailey IIPRT11 between INFI 90 modules within the same cabinet. The ST connectors push and twist into compatible fiber optic ports. Furthermore, the cable bends around corners with a 50 mm minimum radius. The orange jacket color also identifies it as a multimode fiber easily.
Performance Advantages
This cable transmits data at speeds up to 10 Mbps over 11 meters. The optical medium provides complete galvanic isolation between connected devices. Therefore, ground loops and lightning surges do not affect data transmission. The Kevlar strength member also prevents breakage during cable tray pulls.
Safety and Compliance
ABB Bailey IIPRT11 meets CE, UL, and RoHS standards. The cable stores no electrical energy that could create shock hazards. Hence, technicians can handle and disconnect the cable safely at any time.
