Engineered for ABB Bailey INFI 90 Remote Field Sites
This remote terminal unit connects field I/O to the main INFI 90 system. It provides distributed control for the ABB Bailey IMRCC01 unit. You will find this RTU at remote pumping stations and tank farms. Unlike small RTUs, this modular version supports up to 32 I/O points. It communicates with the central DCS over serial or radio links.
Technical Specifications & Physical Dimensions
We designed this RTU for remote and harsh field locations. The table below presents all verified technical specifications.

| Total Weight | 3.5 kg (3500 grams) |
| Maximum I/O Points | 32 (mix of digital and analog) |
| Communication Ports | RS232, RS485, optional radio |
| Protocol Support | Bailey Bus, Modbus RTU |
| Data Logging Memory | 1 MB (battery-backed) |
| Operating Voltage | 24V DC (18V – 32V) |
Functional Architecture and Remote Operation
This RTU operates autonomously when disconnected from the host. It uses a modular backplane for flexible I/O configuration. You can install any combination of INFI 90 I/O modules. Moreover, the unit includes a local processor for data logging. This component stores up to 1 MB of historical data. Consequently, the RTU continues recording even during communication failures.
Installation and Operational Guidelines
The ABB Bailey IMRCC01 consumes 300 mA at 24V DC with full I/O. It scans all I/O points every 100 milliseconds. You must install the RTU in a NEMA 4X enclosure for outdoor use. Always use lightning arrestors on communication cables longer than 30 meters. This practice protects the RTU from nearby lightning strikes. Furthermore, the unit supports battery backup for real-time clock retention. This feature maintains accurate time stamps during power outages.
Physical Characteristics and Environmental Limits
This modular RTU has a rugged, powder-coated steel enclosure. Its substantial 3.5 kg weight reflects the heavy-duty industrial construction. The layout follows ABB Bailey standard INFI 90 specifications. Therefore, it mounts directly to backplates or inside cabinets. The unit requires 100mm clearance for wiring and ventilation. In addition, it maintains stable operation between -20°C and 55°C ambient temperature. You can store this unit safely between -40°C and 85°C.
