Hardware Architecture and Signal Conditioning

Sixty-four precision resistors provide input scaling for each thermocouple channel. The IS200STTCH2AAA includes a dedicated cold junction sensor on the terminal block. Twenty-two filtering capacitors remove electrical noise from industrial environments. A total of 220 µF of capacitance smooths the analog supply voltage.

Interface and Connectivity

Four 10-position barrier strips accept field wiring from up to sixteen sensors. Each barrier strip uses screw-clamp terminals for reliable field connections. One 50-pin ribbon cable carries conditioned signals to the analog input board. The board also features copper pads for attaching external CJC reference sensors.

Practical Installation Notes

Mount this terminal board vertically inside the standard Mark VI I/O pack. The board requires no external power supply for passive signal conditioning. Always match the thermocouple type with the corresponding configuration jumpers. Verify each channel’s wiring polarity before powering up the system.
