Largest Manufacturing Campus in Company History

The new site will feature over one million square feet of production and warehouse space. It is expected to become Rockwell’s largest manufacturing campus globally. Customers will be able to observe Rockwell’s automation and digital solutions in action onsite.

Local Collaboration and Site Planning

The project is currently coordinated with local and state officials. Rockwell confirmed the facility will be located near its Milwaukee headquarters. However, the company has not disclosed employment numbers, specific products, or cost details.

Technology Integration and Innovation

Christian Lott, Rockwell’s Senior VP and CFO, stated the factory will showcase the latest technology to clients. The facility will leverage NVIDIA Omniverse for design and programming, ensuring maximum quality and efficiency before construction begins.

Supporting Long-Term Growth and Profitability

CEO Blake Moret highlighted that the $2 billion plan will enhance production facilities, digital infrastructure, and workforce capabilities over the next five years. About 80% of the investment is capital expenditure, with the remainder supporting operations. This initiative is projected to increase future growth potential and profit margins.

Global Manufacturing Network

Rockwell currently operates ten factories worldwide, located in the U.S., Mexico, Poland, India, Canada, and Singapore. This new Wisconsin facility will expand its global production footprint while reinforcing local capabilities.

Industry Applications and Expertise

Rockwell’s products span digital twin software, safety technologies, sensors, drives, and other industrial components. These solutions serve automotive, semiconductor, chemical, food, and energy sectors. The company recently expanded its autonomous mobile robot production line at its headquarters, reflecting ongoing innovation in factory automation.

Author Insight: Demonstrating Digital Transformation

This facility highlights the value of combining industrial automation with digitalization. Onsite demonstrations allow clients to experience real-world applications, improving adoption of PLC, DCS, and control systems. Firms investing in similar technologies can achieve enhanced efficiency, predictive maintenance, and operational transparency.

Practical Application Scenario

The Wisconsin facility can serve as a training and demonstration hub. Customers can test digital twin simulations, monitor automated production lines, and explore integrated robotics solutions. Such real-world exposure supports informed investment in factory automation technologies.
