The MVI56E-MCM Modbus Communication Module enables direct connectivity between Rockwell Automation® ControlLogix® processors and Modbus RTU/ASCII devices. It supports both Modbus® Master and Slave configurations. You can independently configure each serial port as either a Master or a Slave, which provides flexibility in system design.
The MVI56E-MCM serve as input/output modules on the ControlLogix® backplane. This configuration allows Modbus data to be processed as standard I/O data.
