Product Overview

The MVI46-MCM is a Modbus Master/Slave Network Interface Module developed by ProSoft Technology. Specifically designed for Allen-Bradley® SLC 500 processors, this module provides reliable Modbus connectivity. It is a single-slot module that installs directly into a 1746 backplane. The MVI46-MCM supports both local and extended rack configurations but does not support remote I/O racks.

This module is equipped with one RJ45 (DB-9M with supplied cable) RS-232-only configuration port and two RJ45 RS-232/422/485 application ports. It works with SLC 5/02 M0/M1 capable processors or later models. Designed to facilitate seamless communication, the MVI46-MCM allows your SLC 500 processor to interface with Modbus-enabled devices, providing efficient data exchange via ladder logic.
