Functional Architecture and Channel Isolation

This conditioner connects to field transmitters and sensors directly. It uses two independent channels with full galvanic isolation. You can configure each channel for voltage or current input. Installation and Operational Guidelines

The ABB Bailey IIDST02 updates both channels every 40 milliseconds. It provides 1500V isolation between input, output, and power. You must set the DIP switches for each channel’s configuration. Always use shielded cables for input signals longer than 30 meters. This practice reduces noise pickup on sensitive analog circuits. Furthermore, the module supports loop power for 2-wire transmitters. This feature eliminates external power supplies for field devices.
