The 200-RACN uses a proprietary ABB bus for deterministic data exchange. A coaxial cable links this adapter to the central CPU over 200 meters. The adapter polls all connected I/O modules in a fixed sequence. Each scan cycle takes only 5 ms on average. Consequently, you get real-time data updates for process control applications.
Power Requirements and System Integration
This rack adapter requires an external 24V DC power supply for operation. The unit draws a maximum of 250 mA under full load. The 200-RACN distributes this power to all eight I/O slots automatically.
